The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the WHFP in coordination with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Implementation period: February-July 2025.
Project objectives
- To develop and implement a project on information, early diagnosis and screening of cervical cancer in one region of Ukraine (Cherkasy region) based on the latest national screening standards and WHO recommendations.
- To raise awareness of the benefits of cervical cancer screening and early diagnosis through close cooperation with general practitioners (GPs), gynecologists and gynecological oncologists and to understand the health risks associated with late cancer detection.
- To support the implementation of a national system of early diagnosis and screening of cervical cancer, pathways and coordination based on national recommendations and standards (Order of the Ministry of Health No. 1057 of June 18, 2024).
